The first long run of Department of Truth single issues uses Diamond identifiers and a cover program built around Martin Simmonds’ principal covers, guest-artist variants, and occasional additional Simmonds editions. The entries below reproduce the cover letters and credits that Image Comics exposes on each original release record.
A letter missing from the publisher display is not silently reconstructed. Issue #18, for example, shows A, C, D, and E without a visible B; issue #22 exposes no cover heading in its current record. Those are recorded as source limitations, not corrected from aftermarket assumptions.
Cover art is publication material. A character or symbol on a variant does not establish a scene in story continuity.
Each issue entry follows its Image Comics release page and original Diamond ID.
Cover images and designations do not add events, appearances, or evidence to the story.
Ratios, exclusivity, print runs, scarcity, and value are not supplied unless the publisher explicitly documents them.

How to use the checklist
The printed indicia, barcode, and product code should be checked together when identifying a copy. A seller title or cover image alone may omit the printing, format, foil treatment, or retailer association.
Later printings have separate product codes and may use different art. They belong in the printing record unless the publisher also identifies them as a named cover edition.
