The Department of Truth has three distinct collected-edition lines. Numbered trade paperbacks arrange the monthly series into reading units; Complete Conspiracy hardcovers gather much larger blocks; and Wild Fictions collects the illustrated field reports as an in-world bestiary rather than as a numbered story arc.
The publisher’s stated contents are the controlling record. Volume 3 demonstrates why a volume number cannot be converted into an issue range by assumption: it collects issues #6–#7 and #14–#17, while the uninterrupted #8–#13 sequence belongs to Volume 2.
Release dates, ISBNs, page counts, and prices identify editions, not canon. The same story can appear in several formats without becoming a separate event in continuity.

Collected editions reorganize published material for reading; they do not create a separate chronology unless they contain explicitly new material.
Unlisted extras, territorial editions, and retailer bundles are not inferred from a title or aftermarket listing.
Trade paperbacks, Volumes 1–4
Volume 1: The End of the World was published February 24, 2021. It collects #1–#5, runs 128 pages, and carries ISBN 9781534318335. Volume 2: The City Upon a Hill followed on October 27, 2021; it collects #8–#13, runs 176 pages, and carries ISBN 9781534319219.
Volume 3: Free Country was published April 27, 2022. Its 176 pages collect #6–#7 and #14–#17, ISBN 9781534321199. Volume 4 was published December 14, 2022; it collects #18–#22 in 152 pages, ISBN 9781534323414.
Trade paperbacks, Volumes 5–7
Volume 5 was published January 29, 2025. It collects #23–#27 in 144 pages and carries ISBN 9781534369498. Volume 6 followed on October 29, 2025, collecting #28–#33 in 176 pages, ISBN 9781534330153.
Volume 7 is listed for August 26, 2026. Its 152 pages collect issue #0 and #34–#38, including the three-part “Suspicious Minds” backup, ISBN 9781534332010. Its scheduled date is recorded as publisher metadata rather than treated as a completed historical sale before release.
Complete Conspiracy deluxe hardcovers
Complete Conspiracy Deluxe Book 1 was published May 3, 2023. The 520-page hardcover collects #1–#17 and carries ISBN 9781534399723.
Complete Conspiracy Deluxe Book 2 was published June 17, 2026. The 544-page hardcover collects #18–#33 and “Suspicious Minds,” ISBN 9781534332560. Because the backup began in issue #0 and continued in #34–#35, the publisher’s wording is more precise than assuming the deluxe contains only its numbered range.
Wild Fictions
The Department of Truth: Wild Fictions hardcover was published September 25, 2024. It runs 208 pages, carries ISBN 9781534388536, and collects the illustrated Wild Fictions entries with additional material.
The book is not a replacement for Volume 3 or a hidden eighth trade. Its organizing principle is the Department field guide: manifestations and folklore records presented by a wide group of artists.
Overlap and reading decisions
A reader using trades receives the monthly narrative through Volume 7, while the two deluxe books currently overlap Volumes 1–6 and add the publisher’s stated “Suspicious Minds” material to Book 2. Wild Fictions can be read as a companion after its concepts have been introduced.
Cover art, trim size, paper, bonus pages, and design can differ between formats. Those material differences belong to collecting history; plot summaries should still cite the story’s original issue or clearly name the collected source used.
